In every generation since the Church was founded by the Lord Jesus Christ, Christians were always called upon to stand up for and proclaim the Kingdom of God. Pastors Moses and Hassana Gago founded the Finger of God Goodnews Ministry headquartered in Carson, California, US with the vision to Raise Up the Standard of Our Lord Jesus Christ in our Generation and Time by:
(i) Calling the world to the cross of Jesus Christ, through the preaching and teaching of the Gospel, to come and know the truth and fullness of the love of God who has reconciled us to Himself by the death of His Son Jesus Christ; and
(ii) Equipping the Saints of God, who should not only believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, but:

Grow up unto maturity in His image;

Be empowered as men and women of God to be who they can be in Christ Jesus;

Stand firm and not be tossed to and fro in the faith;

Walk in the transformational power of the Lord Jesus;

Exercise the gifts of the Spirit;

Learn the secret of praise and worship; and
-
Serve humanity through the ministry of helps, mercy, and compassion to the poor, homeless, widows, orphans, and the oppressed.
Raising up the standard or banner of the Lord by the Finger of God indicates that wherever the Gospel is preached in its fullness and purity, with integrity, then the power of God is released, people are drawn to the cross of Jesus Christ, their lives are translated from the power of darkness to the Kingdom of the light of God when they receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and only then does God rule over their lives as King. Raising up the standard therefore is about letting the light of God come to and translate the life of an individual, community, nation or people.
Knowing and understanding that the Gospel is alive because it is established by, and dependent on, the living Savior Jesus Christ, it is a force that is unparalleled in power:

To transmute a person's nature - so as to be set free from spiritual bondage.

To restore joy to the brokenhearted - so as to be mended and strengthened.

To regenerate the dead spirit - so as to live again.

To heal the sick - so as to live healthy.

To break the stony heart - so as to be tender-hearted and serve the Lord Jesus.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit is not given so we can establish a religion in our Church buildings, but for believers to crash out into the streets to make disciples for Jesus Christ (Luke 4:18). God designed salvation to be simple and not complex, and that we preach His message of the cross of Jesus without adulteration, wherever the opportunity arises.

FGGM Pastors
Moses and Hassana Gago, married in 1985, have three wonderful children with whom they have served, and still serve, the Lord Jesus Christ together. Their children, Mercy, Bullus, and Yakubu, are great helpers in the work since founding. They are blessed with gifts of the Spirit and the Lord has confirmed His Word in their lives with signs following.
In 2002, the Lord Jesus appeared to Moses Gago in a vision and commanded him three times: "Preach My Word." After that experience, Moses and Hassana founded the Finger of God Goodnews Ministry with the vision: Raise Up the Standard of Our Lord Jesus Christ in our Generation and Time. For the next two years, they began preparation for the work, and by 2004, work had begun in earnest. The Ministry is blessed with several other Pastors and Ministers whom God is using mightily, and are also great helpers in the work of the LORD.
Moses Gago
Moses Gago is a teacher of the Word of God who has preached and taught in several countries. His early upbringing was that of a Muslim in Northern Nigeria. Since accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord over three decades ago, Moses has had several encounters with the LORD, and these encounters have helped him to discover the great love of Christ through the several persecutions for his and family members’ faith and the difficult and unusual medical challenges of one of his children who drank caustic soda. The situations of every family member were doubtless touched by the finger of God, and by His grace, the whole family of five is still alive and intact together. Moses' legal and theological disciplines are a combination of what he calls "natural bedfellows" which have equipped him to teach the Word of God in its purest but simple form.
Hassana Gago
Hassana Gago was also born and raised in a Muslim family, but grew up in Christian environment, in the Evangelical Churches of West Africa (ECWA Church) in Nigeria. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and served in Church for most of her life. In July 1997, Hassana had a brush with death whereby she was caught up in an out-of-body experience and was told that her days on the earth were finished. She saw herself in heaven, which was bright and real. As a token of the reality of her experience, she was shown two prominent women on the earth whose days were also finished. She was told that she would be sent back to the earth to serve God with her husband who was praying for her. About a month later, both women (Mother Theresa and Princess Diana, the Princess of Wales) were dead within about one week of each other.
Groups
The Women of Virtue is designed to teach, prepare, exhort and equip women to be the virtuous women of God, filled with grace, meekness and a quiet spirit, whose conduct would have an influence to bring others to Christ, and whose nurturing abilities the family must have and rely upon (Proverbs 12:4; 31:10-31; 1 Peter 3:1-6).
The Men of Valor department is designed to teach, prepare, exhort and equip men to be men of God, and priests unto their families to bring them to God, be filled with the Spirit of God, live and walk as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, full of truth, strength and courage, like Gideon (Judges 6:12). Like Nehemiah, they aspire to be God’s men of vision, integrity, prayer and strategy (VIPS).
This department undertakes all charitable works of help and mercy to those in need. Jesus cares for one soul (Acts 10:38). He not only met spiritual needs, but also cared for physical, psychological, and emotional needs. We make any possible effort to feed and care for the homeless, orphans, widows, sick, the abused, and the needy. We undertake periodic visits to centers where these persons may be found e.g. Skid Row Los Angeles, adult facilities, and hospitals. Be a part of us!
We devote our time to intercede for people’s individual needs whomever, wherever, and however they may be. Persons needing deliverance are also helped and prayed for, according to Luke 4:18 and Ephesians 6:18. Join us as we pray together to bring down the glory of God to touch our human situations. In this old time religion, we have no choice but to seek the face of God to help the situations of so many people. We must therefore pray.
To organize evangelism, outreaches, preaching, crusades, seminars, visitations, and other related programs (Matt. 25:31-46; 28:18-20). Our evangelism ministry is any ministry whose chief aim is to win converts to Christ. We encourage all members to engage in evangelism by sharing your faith with those whom you already have friendships or relationships. Regardless of the method used, personal evangelism is also considered evangelism ministry.
Our Ministry co-ordinates the praise and worship music life of the Ministry. We provide the tool by which believers may also learn to praise and worship God in songs of adoration. The choir is a group of band members and vocalists who lead the church in our worship celebrations. We help the church connect to God’s presence by demonstrating true, sincere, and vibrant worship. We understand that the reason we are part of this ministry is because of a calling and as an act of service for Christ.
We coordinate all children, youth, and adult Sunday schools, Library and other informative programs of the ministry. The Department hopes to procure all educational and recreational resources of the Ministry.
Our Media Ministry carries the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our visually-driven, ever-changing world through the use of technology and media, and to equip other ministries of the church to use digital and electronic media as worship and outreach tools. We provide the technical support required for our services and record various events, teachings and sermons, making them available on CD and DVD. We also maintain our church website.
Ushers help to ensure a smooth running of church service, and minister to people in a variety of practical ways. They serve to keep orderliness during services and meetings of the Ministry, and minister to the needs of those around the church who may be in need. Ushers are called to be servants of God through their service to other human beings.
